WATER Analysis
LAB conducts different types of water analyses:
Drinking Water: LAB undertakes drinking water analysis according to Spanish Regulations (RD 140/2003 standard) in order to control its quality and salubrity.
Irrigation Water Analysis: Irrigation water quality affects crop production to a large extent. For this reason, it is essential to make an analysis to determine its suitability. LAB performs the control of physical-chemical and microbiological parameters:
- Control of physical-chemical parameters: PH, CE, macro and micro-nutrients, etc.
- Control of microbiological parameters: Total Coliforms, E.Coli, Salmonella, etc.

Surface and superficial groundwater: Inland waters quality control has evolved significantly, and the number of parameters analyzed to accomplish with current regulations has increased. LAB is up-to-date with the current regulations and we offer the correspondent analytical techniques to analyze the applicable parameters.
Urban/Industrial waste water: LAB performs analysis of waters from the urban and the industrial domain. Among the main parameters, the most demanded are: DQO, DBO, oils and fats, suspended solids, metals, total nitrogen, phosphates, etc.
Sea Water: The analysis of bathing water is one of the most demanded analysis to the Department of Microbiology, with the purpose of detecting the hygienic and sanitary quality of beaches.
